Hindu Philosophy in Action- In Search of Universal Well-being
This book is written by Dr. Mahesh Mehta, founder of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (World Hindu Council) of America who has spent almost four decades in the service of the Hindu society in the USA. The book is an outcome of his study and analyses of the issues of the Hindu society as it evolved from a small number of professional immigrants in late sixties to a sizeable number, including second and third generations born and brought up in the USA. Dr. Mehta was all along there, working at the grassroots level, interacting with thousands of people, community activists, organizational heads, saints and sages and sharing his deep understanding of Hindu culture and Dharma and its relevance for Hindus in the USA through hundreds of lectures across the country.
This book points to solutions to challenges that the world faces today using deep and integrated Hindu perspective. It is an important reading to all Hindus in the USA who want to understand their role in the world today.
Dr. David Frawley, Director of American Institute of Vedic Studies has this to say for the book: “It is of great value to religious organizations of all type, showing how spirituality can become a transformative force to both individual self-realization and to societal ethical evolution beyond any dogmas or need to control.”
